Since I was 12 I’ve been OBSESSED with mountain biking. Now I want to share that passion with you.
Passion born at ELEVATION
First Ascent.
When I was 12 my dad took me up Aspen Vista trail in Santa Fe, NM for the first. The feeling I got on the top of that 12,000’ peak as I waited for my dad to catch me awoke a love for mountain biking that I had never previously dreamed I could have. The rest is history.
Racing.
After that first ascent, my passion grew day by day until one day I heard of a race happening within striking distance of my home. This was an XC race at the Pajarito Ski Area that required me to ride one lap of the resort. I won my age group and awoke yet another passion. I don’t race much anymore, but I’ll never forget that first win.
Learning to descend.
As my XC racing career progressed I noticed a glaring fact; I couldn’t descend with any speed at all. After a few years, I decided to ditch the XC racing scene and focus on my technical skills which included a lot of skate parks, pump tracks, and dirt jumps. After a while I started to feel confident in my descending which lead to racing a few enduro and downhill races with varying degrees of success.
Riding for FUN.
I learned pretty quickly that I would never be the fastest person on the mountain which shifted my focus to just having fun. All I wanted to do was progress on my bike and have a good time doing it. I always say, “I’m a jack of all disciplines and master of none.” With that mentality, I have managed to make a career of mountain biking that I’d never dreamed of previously.
Spread the STOKE.
Because of all the fun mountain biking has given to me, I’ve decided to combine all of my skills as a rider, photographer, actor, and people lover to spread the stoke. As a result, I’ve begun making fun, informative, and instructional content along with growing a coaching business in Santa Fe with multiple students.
